MUTANT CHRONICLES RISES FROM THE DEPTHS!

Simon has just spend the last five months shooting a teaser film for his next picture, MUTANT CHRONICLES. Produced by Edward R. Pressman, legendary Hollywood producer behind such films as The Crow, Wall Street and Das Bout, the film is a multi million pound sci fi picture which tells the story of the world being taken over by Mutated creatures.

"I wanted to get this teaser made to show everyone the style,mood and tone of the film. My aim was is to make a picture that is brutal, real and exciting. Saving Private Ryan with Mutants we all call it. The teaser film shows this and gives us just a hint of the world to come. It has the brutal feel of a Sam Peckinpah movie with a look that is both unique and distinctive" said Simon. "The film will be story based rather than replying on too much spectacle, much in the vein of Pitch Black or the first Terminator" said Simon.

Simon has been screening the seven minute film to studio heads in Hollywood whilst Ed Pressman completes the financing.

"Everyone has been blown away by the film" says Simon. We shot it for a very modest sum of about £30,000 using the very latest in digital technology. I hope to post it online soon."

Pre production is slated for just after Christmas. - negotiations are taking place to sign Thomas Jane to the project. "He is a fantastic actor, his performances are so real and so true. Exactly what we are after. He was fantastic in both the Punisher and also in Dream-catcher" says Simon.

ADDED SPICE FOR MISSION BIRDS?

Brighton based company, Spice Factory are keen to get Simon's script MISSION BIRDS into the air.

"I am very keen to pursue the project with them. Michael and Jason (joint heads of Spice Factory) are great guys, I met them long ago and they liked Lighthouse very much. I would love to work with them. Can we fit it in before the giant Mutant Chronicles starts? I hope so" says Simon.

SIMON SIGNS WITH LEADING AMSTERDAM COMMERCIALS COMPANY

Simon has been taken on by leading Brussels and Amsterdam commercials company Denzzo. Simon recently his first Brussels based commercial - a Sergio Leone style western. "they are a great company, with a fantastic reputation. The head of the company Harre Slockers is a really great guy. Very positive, incredible focused. Working with him has been an incredible rewarding experience" said Simon.

LIGHTHOUSE DVD RE-RELEASE

Lighthouse is going to be re-released by Image Entertainment in the UK. Simon is hoping to have a whole bunch of extras included. Watch this space!
