Simon joined with Infinity Producer Mark Stothert
to direct his first commercial, a clever take on Sony Playstation's
Double Life for the Lothian Health Board. It has been recognised
by Shots for its strong impact and he was selected for most promising
newcomer.
Lighthouse caught the eye of Saatchi and Saatchi's Bob Isherwood
at their New Directors Showcase in Cannes, who says 'Few films demonstrate
so effectively how tension gets attention. The tension is dynamic'.
Simon has gone on to direct commercials all over the world for British
Heart Foundation, Postbank, More Than Insurance, the Coca Cola company,
the Raindance Film Festival and many more.
Simon has an instinctive talent for using performance, visual and
narrative skills that wholly engage his audience in his work and
the proposition he is selling. He likes to specialise in visually
arresting pieces employing cutting edge technology. Simon oftens
edits his own commericals on set, whilst employing the lastest post-production
techniques to add style and drama to his work.
Simon has recently been signed by A Band Apart production company
in Los Angeles.
